Toilet replacement
Remove and install, labor
Sample pricing — illustrative only, not an offer.
A pro removes your old toilet and installs a new one — hauling away the old unit, setting the new bowl and tank on a fresh wax ring, and testing for leaks and a solid flush. Book it when the fixture itself is failed or you want an upgrade.
What's included
- Disconnecting and hauling away the old toilet
- Setting the new bowl and tank on a fresh wax ring and bolting it down
- Connecting the supply line
- Testing for leaks and a solid flush
- Labor to install the toilet; confirm at booking whether the price includes the toilet itself
What to expect
Typical time on site: about 1–2 hours
- The pro shuts off water, drains, and removes the old toilet (a standard swap takes 1–2 hours)
- They clean the flange and set a new wax ring
- They mount and level the new toilet and connect the supply
- They test the flush; base price covers labor and the wax ring/bolts, and haul-away is usually included
- If they find a rotted flange or subfloor damage, that repair is a photographed change order you approve in the app first
Good to know
- This is a plannable upgrade, not an emergency
- If the toilet just runs or leaks at the base and the bowl is sound, the cheaper toilet-repair service may fix it
- Buying your own toilet? Check the 'rough-in' (distance from the wall to the floor bolts, usually 12 inches) so it fits
- A wobbling toilet should be looked at sooner — it usually means a failing flange or seal that can leak under the floor. Clear the bathroom and confirm a working shutoff before the visit
Price range explained
You're toward the low end for a straightforward swap on a good flange, and toward the high end when the flange is broken or corroded, the shutoff must be replaced, or it's a heavier premium unit. The pre-visit figure is a range confirmed on arrival, and whether the toilet itself is included depends on the booking.
